One of the hardest times in our lives, is the loss of a loved one. We can’t imagine life moving forward without them there besides us. The idea of letting go is difficult. However, our loved ones are never truly gone. And their love for us doesn’t go away either. The beauty of love reaches beyond time and space. Our loved ones work so hard to show their love to us in ways that are very specific to us that only we can understand. As a Medium, who has helped others to experience a connection with family and loved ones, I wanted to share a recent experience of my own, as well as other signs that you can look for in your own life, which I hope may help you to feel comforted in your time of need. Have you ever noticed a familiar scent, like that of aftershave or certain flowers like lilacs or roses? Typically, these scents have been when a deceased loved one has been nearby. You may even have smelled a scent of cigar or pipe that possibly your grandfather or favorite uncle may have smoked. Of course, when the faint smell of a familiar perfume lingers in the air, you can’t deny the instant image of who that belonged to, and your eyes search the room for them. Oftentimes, after the death of a loved one, we receive one of the more significant signs in dreams. Those dreams are so vivid, and so unbelievably real. The dreams can often be of an embrace, a conversation, or one last check-in with a specific message. These dreams are beautiful, as they are just another extension of how much they love us to use energy to reach us this way. Birds, Butterflies and Bunnies (or other animals) do you resonate with Cardinals or Hummingbirds? Another type of birds? Possibly Butterflies? Or are bunnies (or some other animal that tends to cross your path when you think of your loved one when you are struggling most)? Cardinals are a symbol for people who has lost a loved one and considered to be “messengers of heaven”; oftentimes, Cardinals have a connection to those who have passed that either loved Cardinals or loved birds. I have a strong connection to cardinals since the loss of a significant person in my life. I have built an open communication with since. When I’ve needed guidance, I’ve asked specific questions, and received answers with 9 female cards on the day I was to receive my answer waiting for me on the fence; I received, acknowledged and thanked for my answer. Most recently, I found a cardinal feather outside the door as I made my way to the car for an event. These little signs bring me great joy, knowing my special loved one is never that far. Other signs to look for are from your loved ones are pennies or dimes in the most random of places (like a box of cereal, in the shower, or by your car door), flickering of power/electrical “interference”, batteries drained, or light bulbs being burned out or “popping” frequently for unexplained reasons. Have you noticed certain things being moved around your home, like your keys or eyeglasses? Maybe the remote control has ended up in the refrigerator? What is most important to take from this, is that in these moments, these experiences, is these specific signs are connections to you from your loved ones. These times can be quite emotional, but our loved ones work hard to send us loving messages and to remind us that life does continue beyond this life. May you find some comfort here, and may you be able to open up to receiving more messages from the Other Side. Sending you love and light.
